Pony Programs
Charming Creek Farm has many pony activities to choose from.
Andy Curry, a nationally known author and horse trainer, suggests ten things children (and adults!) can learn from horses: responsibility, trust, open-mindedness, confidence, patience, self-discipline, sensitivity, learning from mistakes, respect, and most of all…FUN!
POSITIVELY PONY PROGRAM
Specifically designed for children who may be too young to embark on a full-scale riding program, each session includes hands-on time with one of our gentle miniature horses (affectionately called “ponies”). We begin with grooming and touching the ponies, always remembering safe handling procedures. All sessions involve fun activities that include at least one of our ponies. Special bonds between the child and specific ponies are often formed…it’s magical! Learn More
CCF PEN PAL PONIES
is a one-of-a-kind personalized letter-writing experience for children.
Having a relationship with a horse can be a magical experience for a child – our goal with the PPP program is to amplify that experience while promoting the development of the child’s reading/writing skills as well as their imagination.
CHILDREN'S PONY TALE BOOKS
The ponies of Charming Creek Farm are excited to share their stories
in the very first three books of the ongoing Charming Creek Farm Pony Tales.
PONY ENTERTAINMENT
CCF’s herd of miniature horses (affectionately known as “the ponies”) provide an exciting (and usually comical) liberty routine. They also share the spotlight with some full-sized horses working at liberty. Kids and adults alike interact with our friendly ponies after the show. A light snack of cookies and beverages can be served.
